Vitamin E (also known as tocopherol) is one of the most scientifically sound regimens for the body’s fight against the onslaught of free radicals that damage cells and influence the aging process. We use 100% mixed tocopherols containing alpha, gamma and delta forms in an oil base for maximum absorption. In a study of oxidative stress on human red blood cells published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, researchers took a combination of 3 forms of vitamin E (alpha, gamma and delta tocopherols) and compared it to the effects of alpha tocopherol alone. The researchers concluded that a combination of tocopherol forms has a stronger inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation (oxidized fats) in human red blood cells than the alpha tocopherol formula alone. Usual dose is 1-2 softgels per day, or as recommended by your physician.
